A Wedding In The Air!
My son and his GF announced today that they are going to be married this Wednesday. They had originally planned to just pop on down to the county clerks office w/ her mom and me (his mom) as witnesses. Then they told MY mom and dad.
In our family my parents definitely are on a "next to know" status. If they don't find out first (or close to it)... well, it's not pretty LOL.
My son finally got in touch with his dad to let him know about a) the house he had bought, b)the baby on the way AND now c) the wedding.
Mom volunteered the house, gardens and anything else we would need there. Of course I'll be either making or procuring the cake, and I'm not going to let her be seen without some kind of nice bouquet. Her mother has already come up with a marvelous dress w/ one of her buds loaning a veil. And between my Mom and me we will have trays etc. for the small reception. Not bad for a few hours notice is it?
The annoying part is I am in the middle of orientation at UK and must be in class Tuesday. Oh well. I guess it will be a break for me. In a way.
I'll let you guys know if I completely lose it or not. ACK!
